SAYVILLE, NY - A Sayville elementary school will have a delayed start on Thursday after a power outage due to last night's storm, school officials announced. The high winds from the storm that hit the area Wednesday caused the outage at Lincoln Avenue Elementary School this morning.

According to a message from the Sayville school district, PSEG is working on the problem. As a result, there will be a two-hour delay for the school.

In addition, there will be no morning SCOPE program at Lincoln on Thursday.
