Sun-Vet Mall Business Owner Stole $256,546 From Suppliers: Police
The owner of Everything Goes Discount Variety Store faces grand larceny charges.

A Coram man who owns Everything Goes Discount Variety Store at the Sun-Vet Mall in Holbrook is accused of ordering $256,546 in goods from suppliers and then refusing to pay for the merchandise once it was received.
Anthony Dimase, 55, is charged with two counts of second degree grand larceny following his arrest on Monday.
According to police, Dimase received a shipment of children’s sandals valued at $14,100 from a Los Angeles distributor with the understanding that he would pay for the merchandise in January, police said.
Dimase later refused to make any payments, police said.
Dimase then accepted a shipment of $89,625 worth of a product called “Plumbers Hero” from the same distributor on Jan. 22 after the distributor told him to refuse the delivery, police said.
Again, Dimase refused to make any payments for the merchandise or return it to the supplier, police said.
During an investigation by Suffolk County Police Identity Theft Section detectives, a distributor in Suffolk County came forward and reported that they shipped $152,820 in toys to Dimase in December of 2015 and never received payment for the goods, police said.
Dimase, who was featured in a profile on My Long Island TV in December (watch it below), was being held at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
This investigation is continuing and detectives are asking anyone else who may have been a victim to call the Identity Theft Section at 631-852-6269.
