Teacher Of The Week: Ms. Kim Colovito

SAYVILLE, NY — Everybody has a favorite teacher — maybe it's a teacher who went out of their way to make one student's day or a teacher who brightens up a classroom every day.

One teacher who deserves a shout-out is Ms. Kim Colovito, a special education teacher for Eastern Suffolk BOCES in the Sayville Elementary School for over 25 years. She was nominated as this week's Teacher of the Week by Nancy A. Hromadka.

Here's what Nancy had to say about Ms. Colovito:

I have had the pleasure of being a Para Educator in Kim’s class for the last 3 years. The love and dedication she shows to each and every student that has passed through room 203 doors over the past 25 years is unprecedented.A student in Ms. Colovito’s class is given the structure, guidance and love that allows each her students to learn and be proud of their accomplishments.
