Walking for Fun and Fitness at Sylvan Avenue Elementary
Students are focusing on physical fitness and cardiovascular activities as part of a new mileage club at the building.

Sylvan Avenue Elementary School students are focusing on physical fitness and cardiovascular activities as part of a new mileage club at the building.
During their physical education classes, the students work to obtain different lifelong fitness goals and promote overall health and wellness. In October, the students took part in a half-mile pumpkin run. Each student who completed the run earned a pumpkin token for a necklace, and additional tokens for completing the activity under a specific time.
The mileage club will host a themed event each month that focuses on a different physical activity or skill set.
