2 Bronx Men Charged In Scarsdale, White Plains, Yonkers Burglaries

Scarsdale police: Three-month investigation led to indicments, arrests.

A three-month investigation has led to the arrest of two Bronx men in connection with several burglaries in Scarsdale, White Plains and Yonkers, according to .

Michael Maietta, 49, and Michael Donofrio, 47, have been charged in connection with the September 2011 burglary of a Greenacres Avenue home. They are both charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny and third-degree criminal mischief based on an indictment by a Westchester County grand jury.

Maietta and Donofrio are also charged with second-degree burglary for incidents in White Plains and Yonkers, and second-degree attempted burglary for an incident in Yonkers.

Scarsdale Det. Mark Thomas worked with detectives from White Plains, Yonkers, Bronxville and New York City and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office in the investigation. A Scarsdale police investigation of the two men is continuing.

Donofrio was ordered held in the Westchester County Jail on $300,000 bail, while Maietta was ordered held without bail pending a court hearing.
