Scarsdale Children Bring Holiday Cheer to Nursing Home

Twelve children with the Random Farms Kids' Theater's Kids Who Care Holiday Troupe performed a 20-minute musical revue, filled with classic holiday tunes and seasonal favorites, at the Meadowview Assisted Living building in Mount Vernon on Friday, Dec. 14.

Rose Hanish and Julia White, both 10, both of Scarsdale, were featured performers at the Mount Vernon event. Hannah Lewis, Lauren Fialkow and Emily Marks are also Scarsdale residents involved in the troupe's cast A.

"The Kids Who Care are talented child performers from the Random Farms Kids' Theater. They all love to sing and perform; the holiday troupe gives them an opportunity to give back during a time of year when it's important to emphasize the spirit of giving. Our goal is to spread joy by bringing the performing arts to local residents in nursing homes, hospitals and senior centers. Our audiences don't always have the ability to go to the theater, so we bring the show to them," said producer Anya Wallach, a Chappaqua native who runs the Random Farms' Kids Theater.
