Organic burger chain with big flavor opens Ridge Hill location
Westchester County, N.Y. (September 24, 2012) – Elevation Burger, the nation’s first 100% USDA-certified organic hamburger chain serving flavorful 100% grass-fed, 100% free-range beef ground on-premises, has opened its second Westchester County location at Westchester’s newest retail, entertainment, and dining destination, Ridge Hill in Yonkers, N.Y. The Virginia-based burger company now boasts 30 locations nationwide.
The 2,500 sq. ft. Ridge Hill location, just steps away from the movie theater, was built to LEED-specifications and features a dramatic floor-to-ceiling glass facade and inside seating for 89 diners. Plans for patio seating overlooking the center’s main fountain are underway. Franchise owner and Rye resident Daniel Magnus owns the exclusive franchise rights for Westchester County and Fairfield County, Connecticut. He opened Westchester’s first location last year in Rye Brook, adding 25 new jobs to the local labor force, while the Ridge Hill location opened with 38 employees. “The outpouring of community support that we received at our Rye Brook location was overwhelming and paved the way for the successful opening at Ridge Hill,” said Magnus, who expects to open 10 additional locations in the two counties, filling approximately 300 jobs in the process.

“Ingredients Matter” is not just a slogan at Elevation Burger, but also a reflection of the company’s constant focus on offering quality food that not only tastes great, but also makes a difference to both the consumer and the environment. In addition to its organic beef, the restaurant also serves fresh-cut fries cooked in heart-healthy, 100% olive oil as well as thick, hand-scooped milkshakes made with antibiotic- and hormone-free milk.
“Our name includes the word ‘Elevation’ because we elevate our food, our guest experience, and our restaurants to a level that exceeds other hamburger establishments,” said Magnus. “We use better ingredients for better flavor and as a result, we have both the healthiest and the best tasting burgers in the business. We use only the highest and best quality meat you can get. Our burgers are actually raised to taste better!”
