We will enjoy delicious Israeli food from Taboonia and The Blondinit and wonderful music from the Israeli band Songs of the Valley. Israeli Druze, Nova Music Festival Survivor, and owner of Taboonia, Raif Rashed will speak to us and we will also be joined by our Westchester Shlicha, Hila Madar Itzkovitz.Admission: $36/per person

 the calming practice of Tai Chi in this welcoming series led by 
instructor Paul Lucien. Through gentle, flowing movements and mindful 
postures, you’ll cultivate greater balance, strength, flexibility, and 
inner calm while focusing on deep, intentional breathing.
Often 
described as “meditation in motion,” Tai Chi is known to reduce stress, 
relax the body, and quiet the mind. Beginners and experienced 
practitioners alike are welcome to move at their own pace and enjoy the 
many physical and mental benefits of this ancient practice. All levels 
are welcome.

What
 can you discover when you take a closer look at the natural world? In 
this two-part series, naturalists from Sheldrake Environmental Center 
will show you how nature walks are great opportunities for observation 
and scientific discovery.
The first session 
at the JCCMW will introduce citizen science and teach you how to use 
iNaturalist, an app to help you identify and record what you find in 
nature. Then, in the second session, you’ll put your new skills to work 
during a guided nature walk at Sheldrake Environmental Center, where 
you’ll explore the trails and document your observations alongside a 
Sheldrake naturalist.
Please bring your charged smartphone to the program so that you may use iNaturalist!

traditional blueprint process is easily accessible for anyone. No 
artistic skills are necessary to create one-of-a-kind botanical prints. 
This workshop class will cover the photosensitive chemistry, how to coat
 your own paper, and how to expose and develop the prints. You will 
leave with your own handmade prints and the skills to make more.
<h3>About the Instructor</h3>
Julia Swyers&nbsp;first
 learned the cyanotype process while studying photography at the School 
of Visual Arts. She started making botanical cyanotypes at home as an 
activity to do with her young daughter using commercially available 
coated paper. In her own art practice, she began coating her own paper 
and experimenting with homemade cameras using the cyanotype printing 
process. She has taught all types of learners, from elementary children 
in schools to adults in workshops.

Join UJA Westchester for a special evening with Bruce Pearl, former head coach of the Auburn University men’s basketball team.&nbsp;Drawing on his experiences on and off the court, Coach Pearl will share meaningful lessons about leadership, bringing people together across differences, and the enduring importance of the U.S./Israel relationship.
Coach Bruce Pearl is a powerful Jewish leader who uses his significant national platform to champion the Jewish community and Israel, especially since October 7. In 2022, he brought the Auburn Tigers to Israel on a trip sponsored by Athletes for Israel. He has spoken before major national organizations, commemorated Holocaust Day in Alabama, and warmly embraced Auburn’s Jewish students, hosting annual Hanukkah celebrations and regular breakfasts.
You’ll also hear the latest about UJA’s critical work in Israel, New York, and throughout the global Jewish community.
