Crime & Safety

Car Flips On White Plains Road

A red Honda flipped onto its back at 2:45 p.m. Sept. 12.

I was leaving Westchester Bagel Cafe with a friend and as we were waiting in a line of cars on Burnham Road, we saw a red Honda tip completely over with the driver in the front seat. It looked as though the driver's hand was out the window at the time. It was horrific and everything seemed to go in slow motion. Everyone rushed to the scene and a few minutes later the police and ambulances arrived. This all happened at the White Plains Road and Burnham Road crossing. After the paramedics arrived a girl was pulled out of what I believe was the back seat. She was breathing, but I don't know the extent of her injuries, nor do I know if the driver is OK. Everyone seemed extremely shaken, including myself and my passenger.
