Case Of Body Found In Yonkers Turned Over To NYPD

The body of the man who had been shot was found on the side of Tuckahoe Road in Yonkers.

After an investigation into a body found on Tuckahoe Road, Yonkers Police Department said it’s turning over the case to the New York Police Department. Around 8:20 a.m. July 16, a passerby discovered the body of a man in the vicinity of eastbound Tuckahoe Road by the Thruway overpass in Yonkers.

The man was dead at the scene and had been shot numerous times, police said.

He was identified as Brian Brain, 35, of Queens. The Westchester County Medical Examiner took possession of his body.

Detectives from the Major Case Squad and the Crime Scene Unit conducted an intensive investigation.

By analyzing the evidence, detectives determined that Brain was shot in Queens and his body was brought to Yonkers.

Yonkers police detectives have turned the case over to the NYPD detectives, who will take over the investigation.
