Scarsdale’s girl’s soccer team and Edgemont’s football team both fell over the weekend, but several local athletes competed in the section championships in cross country on Friday.

Yesterday’s Results:

Sport: Girl’s Soccer

Game: Arlington vs. Scarsdale

Score: Arlington Won 3-1

Highlights: Meere Dheer had the lone goal for Scarsdale, and Ali Lonner had seven saves in the loss.

Sport: Football

Game: Pleasantville @ Edgemont

Score: Pleasantville Won 26-15

Highlights: Pleasantville got out to a quick two touchdown lead, and Edgemont’s defense couldn’t hold the opposition in the fourth quarter.

Sport: Boy’s Cross Country

Game: Section 1 Championships Class A

Score: Scarsdale 316 (12^th Place)

Highlights: Seki Kazuya finished 34^th overall for Scarsdale.

Sport: Girl’s Cross Country

Game: Section 1 Championships Class A

Score: Scarsdale 305 (10^th Place)

Highlights: Freshman Meghan Chan’s 19^th place finish was the top for Scarsdale.

Sport: Boy’s Cross Country

Game: Section 1 Championships Class C

Score: Edgemont 183  (7^th Place)

Highlights: Benjamin Eisenkraft came in 11^th place overall with a time of 17:46.93.

Sport: Girl’s Cross Country

Game: Section 1 Championships Class A

Score: Edgemont 208 (9^th Place)

Highlights: Roza Kessaci led the way with a time of 23:25.95.
