Daily Sports Digest: Local Swimmers Compete In Section Championships

Felix Festa Middle School was the center of the section one sports world last night as the school hosted the Section One Swim Championships. The deep Clarkstown team won the event by over 100 points. Scarsdale came in 26^th where a team with Edgemont athletes finished in eighth.

The United Way of Westchester and Putnam will be hosting the third annual run united, a 5K run for health. Proceeds from the event will benefit the United Way initiatives taking place in both counties. The event takes place Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Purchase College.

Score: Scarsdale 11 (26^th Place) Full Results

Highlights: Katherin Suen finished the 200 Individual Medley in 10^th with a time of 2:18.62. The Scarsdale 200 Freestyle Relay team finished in 15^th.

Score: Sleepy Hollow/Edgemont/Irvington 123 (8^th Place)

Highlights: The Relay team of Alexia Boumis, Eilis Klein, Caroline Mitchell and Megan Gallagher finished second in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:41.79.
