Highlights: Edgemont got out to a slow start, losing three of the first four bouts, but Hastings couldn’t handle the bigger Panther athletes. Jack McCormack (145), Saumil Kothari (152) and Ross Kantor (160) all won late for Edgemont.

Game: Scarsdale vs. Mahopac
Score: Mahopac won 150.4-115.2
Highlights: Sophie Bernstein led Scarsdale with an overall score of 25.90. Mahopac was led by Gina Campanella, who picked up an 8.2 in the vault and a 8.1 on the uneven bars.

Game: Scarsdale vs. Sleepy Hollow
Score: Sleepy Hollow won 42-30
Highlights: At 106, Scarsdale’s Robert Keltz pinned his opponent in 39 seconds. Not to be outdone, Mike Hodges picked up a pin at 113 in 32 seconds.

MSG Varsity to Broadcast Scarsdale vs. Sleepy Hollow Wrestling Match Today
MSG Varsity, Cablevision’s 24/7 HD network dedicated to all things high school, will televise the Scarsdale HS vs. Sleepy Hollow HS wrestling match Friday, January 20 at 7:30 p.m. on Cablevision’s iO TV channel 14.
In addition to the full game coverage, MSG Varsity’s Westchester edition of “High School SportsDesk” (7:00 p.m. nightly on MSG Varsity) is THE place to tune into for ALL the latest highlights, interviews and scores from around Westchester.
MSG Varsity is available exclusively to Cablevision’s iO TV subscribers on channel 14; once broadcast, all games are also available on-demand on iO channel 614.

Westchester County Center Hosts Autograph Show
JP’s Sports and Rock Solid Promotions Inc. will be at the Westchester County Center this weekend in White Plains for a sports card and memorabilia show. Several former and current baseball players will be in attendance and signing autographs, so whether you like the Yankees or Mets, make sure to check out the . Mike Piazza and John Franco will be there on Saturday, and Gary Sheffield and Hall of Famer Goose Gossage will be there on Sunday.
The “Winter Extravaganza” will host 300 tables and 150 booths of local dealers from across the tri-state area.
Doors open today from 2-8 p.m., and the event will run from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. tomorrow and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Children under the age of 12 are free for all three days, and admission costs $7 per adult, per day. Admission on Saturday or Sunday entitles you to one free autograph from a former Met pitcher. On Saturday, the free ticket can be used for Al Jackson and on Sunday admission is good for a Jon Matlack signature.
If you are heading in for autographs, get there early because the lines for some of the former greats can get long quickly. If you are going for cards and memorable, it is a good idea to go late on Sunday to get the best prices from the dealers.
Worlds Tallest Basketball Player Comes to New York
The Harlem Globetrotters recently announced that the 7 foot 8 inch Paul “Tiny” Sturgess will be coming with the team on their trip to the New York area in February.
Born in England, Sturgess is now recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s tallest basketball player. He is two inches bigger then former Houston Rocket Yao Ming.
Sturgess and the rest of the Globetrotters will be at the Izod Center in East Rutherford New Jersey on Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. The Team will also be in Newark at the Prudential Center on Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. and Madison Square Garden the same day at 7:30 p.m. The Globetrotters will play two games on Feb. 19 at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island at 1 and 5 p.m.
For those fans who would like to stay a little closer to home the team will be appearing at the Westchester County Center in White Plains on Feb. 14 at 7 p.m., but the roster has not yet been released for that game.
