Westchester County was pummeled by rain that caused several of the local teams to postpone their games. Scarsdale’s volleyball team won a thrilling match on the road while Edgemont’s team lost at Yonkers. The Scarsdale swim meet came down to the last race but unfortunately the Raiders fell by one point.

Game: Scarsdale @ New Rochelle
Score: Scarsdale Won 3-2
Highlights: The Raiders pulled out a thrilling victory in five sets on the road. New Rochelle began the day by honoring their seniors, and the adrenaline fuelled the Huguenots to a first set victory, but Scarsdale was able to steal the match in the end as the Raiders won the final game 27-25. Scarsdale led by Greta Miconi’s 16 kills while Carina Spiro added 15 for the visiting team. In the loss Ashleigh Scozzari had 26 kills while Carly Conca added 25 assists.
Sport: Girl’s Swimming
Game: Ardsley @ Scarsdale
Score: Scarsdale Lost 88-87
Highlights: In a thrilling meet that went down to the wire the Ardsley/Hastings team was able to squeak past the Raiders. Katerine Suen led the way for Scarsdale as she won the 200 Individual Medley as well as the 100 Backstroke. Scarsdale had the lead going into the meet’s final competition, the 400 Freestyle Relay, but the Raiders placed 2nd, 4th, and 6th, giving the opposition the one point win.

Game: Edgemont @ Yonkers
Score: Edgemont Lost 3-0
Highlights: Yonkers was able to defend the home court quickly against Edgemont as Yonkers came out on top 3-0.
Today’s Schedule:
In field hockey, Edgemont will head to Irvington at 4:15.
In girl’s soccer, Pelham heads to Edgemont for a 4:30 contest.
In volleyball, Edgemont will hit the road to face the Pelicans at Pelham High School at 4:15.
