Junior Bianca Harris of Teaneck, NJ scored 10 points and pulled down five rebound, but the Dominican College women’s basketball team had a four-game winning streak snapped, losing to Southern Connecticut State University, 70-32, in a non-conference game at the Moore Field House in New Haven, CT.
Senior guard Samantha Klunk of York, PA, and sophomore forward K.C. Jentzen of Pearl River, a Nanuet alumna, each scored six points for the Lady Chargers, who shot just 13 of 43 from the field and dropped to 4-5 overall on the season.

Dominican just started a new winning streak at home in Orangeburg on Tuesday against Bloomfield (NJ) College when they beat Bloomfield College 66-62 in overtime. Now the team will head to Bronxville on Jan. 18 for a game at 5:30 p.m. against Bronxville.
Milligan, Salandra power unblemished Diplomats
Senior guard Georgio Milligan of Spring Valley and sophomore guard Jon Salandra of Harrison lead the unbeaten Franklin & Marshall College men’s basketball team into action tonight in a game at Lancaster, PA, against visiting Muhlenberg College of Allentown, PA.
Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
The undefeated Diplomats (13-0, 6-0 Centennial Conference) are ranked No. 7 while the visiting Mules are 9-3 with a 3-3 mark in the conference.
Milligan, an alum of Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, NJ, leads the team in scoring (18.3 points per game), assists (4.5) and steals (2.2).
Salandra, was in the Harrison Central School District before heading to The Hackley School in Tarrytown after the 8th grade. He is second on the Diplomats in rebounding with 4.5 caroms a game, and ranks third in scoring with an 8.5 norm.
Franklin & Marshall will continue its home stand on Saturday (Jan. 14), hosting Washington College (8-5) at 4 p.m.
Suffern Graduate Standouts for Dolphins
The College of Mount Saint Vincent women’s basketball team, which dropped its third straight contest and fell to 3-9 in its last 12 games in Riverdale with a 63-48 loss to Old Westbury, visits powerhouse Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh tonight (Jan. 12) at 7 p.m.
The host Knights are rolling at 11-2.
Mount Saint Vincent got off to a good start against the Panthers, taking a quick 7-2 lead after buckets from Brittany Griffin of Suffern and Tanisha Montague of Brooklyn, along with a three-point by Sarah Kluth of Lynbrook who scored a team-high 13 points.
The Dolphins would match their game-high lead at the 13:01 mark of the first half after a Griffin jumper, but would then allow a 25-2 Old Westbury run over a nine-minute stretch to open a 33-19 lead at intermission.
The Dolphins finished the game shooting 23.1-percent from the floor and have now shot under 30-percent for a game in four contests this season. The Mount went 3-for-17 from behind the arc and 9-for-14 from the free-throw line.
Senior Kara McNish of Hawthorne led all players with 16 rebounds, and added five points and a blocked shot.

Highlights: Mount Vernon’s Isaiah Cousins led the way with 22 points and teammate Jarrell Marshall picked 14. In the loss Greg Sacchi led Scarsdale with 14 points.

Game: Mount Vernon vs. Scarsdale
Score: Scarsdale Won 65-61
Highlights: Shelby Zucker led the way for Scarsdale with 24 points while Abigail Pearlman picked up 19 in the win. Luburdia Gordon had 26 points and 19 rebounds for Mount Vernon and Sade Kind had 19 points in the loss including the 1,000th of her career.

Game: Bronxville vs. Edgemont
Score: Bronxville Won 54-27
Highlights: Jack Keeny led Edgemont with 12 points but it wasn’t enough as the Broncos were able to win on the road. Matt Torney and Jack Aherne led Bronxville with 13 points each and Aherne dominated the boards bringing in 16 rebounds in the win.

Game: Bronxville vs. Edgemont
Score: Bronxville Won 28-25
Highlights: Grace Devlin and Danielle Kelly each had 11 points as the Broncos defended their home court. Shayna picked up six points for Edgemont in the loss.

Game: Edgemont vs. Woodlands
Score: Edgemont Won 51-24
Highlights: Edgemont’s Kyle Aslanian (99) took little time in his match as he pinned his opponent in 58 seconds, not to be out done Aslanian’s teammate Ross Kantor (152) ended his match with a pin in 51 secounds.
