Edgemont High School Graduate Missing in Indiana

The Bloomington Police are searching for Lauren Spierer, a missing 20-year-old Indiana University student.

The Bloomington Police are searching for Lauren Spierer, a missing 20-year-old Indiana University student who graduated from Edgemont High School in 2009.

Spierer has been missing since 4:30 a.m. Friday morning.

Missing person fliers describe Spierer as 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighing between 90 and 100 pounds, with blue eyes and blonde hair just past her shoulder. She was last seen wearing a white tank top, a light-colored button-down shirt and black stretch pants.

According to the Indiana Daily Student, Spierer was last seen walking south on College Avenue after spending the evening with friends at Kilroy’s Sports Bar.

Spierer suffers from Long QT syndrome, a heart condition that sometimes requires medicine.

A Facebook account, “Lauren Spierer Missing,” and a Twitter handle, @NewsOnLaurenS, have been created to aid search efforts. A website has also been created to mobilize search parties and receive tips on Spierer's whereabouts. 

Scarsdale Synagogue Temples Tremont & Emanu-El will hold a prayer vigil for Spierer tomorrow evening at 7 p.m at 2 Ogden Road in Scarsdale.
