Edgemont High School Graduate's Whereabouts Still Unknown
The search continues for Lauren Spierer, a junior at Indiana University who disappeared early Friday morning.
Four days after Lauren Spierer’s disappearance, the missing Indiana University junior’s face has been seen on Fox News, CBS, ABC and America’s Most Wanted by millions across America. Her whereabouts, however, are still unknown.
On Saturday morning, Spierer’s parents flew from Westchester County to Bloomington to look for their daughter after she went missing following a night spent with friends at Kilroy’s Sports Bar. Police, a search dog and parties comprised of friends, family, IU students and locals have canvassed construction sites, woods, lakeside areas and campus areas to no avail, according to the Indiana Daily Student and the Herald-Times.
Spierer, a 20-year-old Edgemont native, has reportedly been missing since Friday, June 3at 4:30 a.m. The IDS, which published a timeline chronicling the period leading up to Spierer’s disappearance, states that Spierer was last seen by a male friend on the corner of 11th Street and College Avenue in Bloomington as she was leaving to go home to her apartment complex, Smallwood Plaza.

Footage shot by the complex’s security cameras show that Spierer never made it home. Spierer’s shoes and cellphone were later found at the bar, and her purse and some keys were found along the route to her friend's apartment, which she visited before attempting to head home.
Bloomington Police Lt. Bill Parker has stated to the public that while patrol currently has no leads, they do suspect “foul play.”
