American Heart Association Women’s Leadership Breakfast

The American Heart Association announced that the Women’s Leadership Breakfast, entitled, “Authenticity— Shifting your Perspective to Transform Your Leadership Effectiveness,” will be held on Wednesday, November 9 at 7:30-9:30 AM at the Hilton Rye Town, Rye Brook, NY

Best-selling author Gabrielle Bernstein will be the keynote speaker. Featured in the New York Times as “a new role model”, motivational speaker, and life coach, Gabrielle is a #1 bestselling author of the book Add More ~ing to Your Life – A hip guide to happiness.

Bernstein just launched her second book, Spirit Junkie, A Radical Road to Self-Love and Miracles. In 2008, she launched HerFuture.com for young women to find mentors which now exceeds 12,000 members. She co-founded the Women’s Entrepreneurial Network, a non-profit professional organization that connects female entrepreneurs. Bernstein will share tools for releasing blocks to achieving goals and creating positive change in all areas of life.

A panel discussion will include Kelley Connors, MPH, Founder, President of KC Healthcare Communications. Connors was named a Woman of Innovation by the Connecticut Technology Council in 2010 for her development of “Real Women on Health” online and her collaboration with Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center to prevent smoking in young girls.

Tevis Rose Trower, a pioneer in the field of work-life satisfaction, will also be on the panel. Fueled by the question "why do we 'hate' work?", in 2001 she founded New York-based Balance Integration Corporation, providing sustainable success and employee engagement tools to optimize human assets within corporations. Heralded in Megatrends 2010 as Corporate Mindfulness Guru for the new millennium, Trower teaches corporate professionals how to apply time-tested mastery techniques to resolve modern work-life challenges.

Mia Schipani, VP of Business Development for Stamford-based RMS Companies, will serve as panel moderator. Schipani serves as chair of the Go Red Fairfield Corporate Leadership Council and as Leadership Programs Chair.
