GYMBOREE PLAY AND MUSIC OF SCARSDALE, in support of MARCH OF DIMES, will host its first annual CHILDREN’S ART GALA AND CHARITY AUCTION on Sunday, May 22, 2011, from 3-6pm.
The event will feature a silent auction with items including art donated by local Westchester Artists, tickets to Broadway shows, fragrances by L’Oreal, chocolates by Chocolations of Mamaroneck, passes to the Greenburgh Nature center and more. Children will have the opportunity to create their own paintings on canvas to be part of the silent auction with all proceeds benefitting the MARCH OF DIMES.

GYMBOREE invites everyone to join them for an afternoon of art making, face painting, live children's music, food, prizes, raffles, Gymboree’s signature bubble and parachute time, free play time in the gym for children ages 0 through 5, and tons more fun!

This event is open to the public and is aimed at art lovers and children between the ages of 0 and 10. The Gala kicks off at 3pm and the auction will open for viewing and silent bids at 4:45pm. Winners will be announced at 5:30pm.
Children who would like to paint their own canvas for the silent auction should pre-register by e-mailing scarsdaleny@gymboreeclasses.com. There are 36 painting slots available between 3 and 4pm. Several artists contributing work to the event will be on hand to help guide and inspire the children while creating their master works.
Participating artists include Arline Diamond, Randy Briggs, Michael Albert, Paul Berge, Barbara Clapman, Kelli Bickman, Suzanne Mancuso, Arnab Banerjee, Chloe Tompkins, Kathleen Benton, John Conroy, and Margie Resto-Smith .
Event sponsors include L’Oreal, Chocolations in Mamaroneck, Greenburgh Nature Center, Pastelgallery.com, Mommy Posh, and Events by Gina. Catering will be provided by Classic Touch Cuisine - Ivette Maymi, Chef/Owner.

All proceeds will benefit MARCH OF DIMES. Donations (including ticket purchases) and auction purchases are tax deductible if paid by check (all checks should be payable to March of DImes).
