A free program for adults held at the Greenburgh Nature Center in partnership with the Sierra Club Lower Hudson Group. High School students are welcome. A movie by filmmaker Velcrow Ripper, titled Fierce Light: Where Spirit Meets Action will be shown.
"All around the world people are crying out for change – an end to the exploitation of people and the destruction of the earth we share. But will demands for change lead only to more conflict and suffering, or can we move together toward a more conscious and compassionate world in which we honor and care for each other and the planet that sustains us? Filmmaker Velcrow Ripper has created an award-winning, inspiring documentary of a new consciousness emerging around the world: the consciousness that we are all one, and one with the earth. This film is a must-see for our times."
Refreshments at 7 p.m.; Program begins at 7:30 p.m.
