Wednesday, June 22 @ 7pm - Barney’s Version (2010): Screening, followed by discussion with guest panel of Canadians. Adapted from the novel by Mordechai Richler, this is the warm, wise and witty story of the politically incorrect life of Barney Panofsky (Paul Giamatti). Spanning three decades, two continents, and three wives, Barney reflects on his life’s successes and (numerous) gaffes and failures as the final chapters of his own existence come sharply into focus. With his father, Izzy (Dustin Hoffman), as his sidekick, Barney turns out to be a true romantic, capable of all kinds of sneaky acts of gallantry, generosity, and goodness. His is a full life, played out on grand scale and at its center, stands an unlikely and unforgettable hero.

Tickets: $12/$10 seniors (65+).
