Holiday Model Train Show at Greenburgh Nature Center

Greenburgh Nature Center has collaborated with Westchester/Yonkers Model Railroad Club to present the seventh annual GNC holiday season model train show called “Trains – Your Ticket to the Great Outdoors.”  The nine day exhibit will run from Saturday, Dec. 10, through Sunday, Dec. 18. (Except Friday, when the Nature Center is closed.) GNC's weekday hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and weekend hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The exhibit has many intricate details, including a mountain with a train tunnel and a mining cave tunnel, a ravine with a train trestle crossing over it, a wooden bridge, a model village, road crossings, a shopping mall and a model replica of the Greenburgh Nature Center.

The train show was organzed by Dr. Paul Greenburg of the Westchester/Yonkers Model Railroad Club (WYMRC) Dr. Greenburg has designed and built some of the models and has been active as a model railroader for more than 50 years.
