Learn to Blog

Why Blog? Not long ago, bloggers were sparsely read voices in the wilderness. But today’s bloggers serve millions of readers who trust them in a marketplace that is increasingly web-based. According to the 2011 Social Media Matters study by BlogHer.com, women who read blogs routinely trust the advice and recommendations they receive, especially when it is from a blogger they follow regularly. Moreover, familiar bloggers are preferred over celebrities – a finding that will certainly leave some ad agencies cringing. Needless to say, the internet is changing the way we do just about everything, and that means reading and writing blogs. Want to join the fray? Students will learn basic design and writing skills for setting up, sustaining and creating interest in a blog. The course is designed for BEGINNERS and will cover blogging programs, tools and platforms as well as how to grab the reader’s attention and create “link love”.
