Margaret Myongsook Kim Organ Recital in Scarsdale


Margaret Myongsook Kim Organ Recital 
on June 5th at 3:00 p.m. 
  
Margaret Kim is an accomplished organist who has studied extensively both privately and at Colleges and Universities.  She received a BA in Church Music from Concordia College and then went on to study at Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea where she received a Master of Music in Piano.  
    
Further studies have taken her to Columbia University, The Julliard School and The New England Conservatory Graduate School.  Margaret has studied organ privately with many distinguished teachers:  Dr. F. Anthony Thurman, Dr. Richard Heschke, Professor David Pizzaro, Professor Bruce Angell, Mrs. Elizabeth Jenkins, and Mr. Sung Jim Choi.
She has served as Organist and Choir Director at several Churches in Westchester:  All Saints Church in Harrison, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Rochelle, Korean Methodist Church in Tuckahoe, Harrison Presbyterian Church, Mamaroneck United Methodist Church, Mamaroneck,White Plains Korean Church, Scarsdale, The Korean Presbyterian Church of Westchester, Pelham.  In addition to her many contributions to these Churches in Westchester, Margaret served at The Presidential Services at Army HQ in Seoul, Korea. Ms. Kim is a member of the American Guild of Organists, Westchester Chapter. She and her husband are the proud parents of 5 children and 9 grandchildren.  
It is our pleasure to invite the community to attend this spectacular organ recital.  We hope you will take some time to enjoy beautiful music and relax in the peace of the sanctuary of the Scarsdale Community Baptist Church.
