On Wednesday, April 21st, all three jazz bands in the Scarsdale district (All-District - grades 4-6, Middle School - grades 7 & 8, and High School - grades 9 to 12) will be taking an all day trip to Lincoln Center (approx. 9 a.m. to 5:30pm) for multiple purposes.
Scarsdale teachers Nick Lieto, Jason Noble and Jessica Slotwinski will all be attending (all three jazz band directors). The three jazz bands will be performing in the courtyard in front of the fountain at Lincoln Center (weather permitting) via the Young Music Makers Program.
From Slotwinski: "We have an hour-long set from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon. During that time, each band will perform. Then, we will be seeing a professional jazz performance and taking a full tour of the Lincoln Center facilities."

"The tour and professional performance are private, meaning only for our 60 kids, and the performance involves a Q&A with the musicians. This is the first trip of its kind for the 'jazzers' in the district, and we are all thrilled to be part of it!"
