"The Archaeological Institute of American-Westchester is pleased to present David Hurst Thomas of the American Museum of Natural History, whose lecture will trace the 500 year roots of the Kennewick Man controversy. Updating his book "Skull Wars", Dr. Thomas will discuss the issues that arose after a 9,000 year old human skeleton was washed up on the Columbia River in 1996, and ignited a controversary that still rages. Dr. Thomas will be happy to autograph copies of his book, which will be for sale. Refreshments will be served."
