Back by popular demand, Beth El's Spring Jewish Film Festival. Jewish characters who shape and respond to the media are the thematic focus of this year's popular series. Luminaries like Woody Allen and George Clooney will light up the screen as "No Failure to Communicate: Jewish Characters in and around the Media'' is presented in its dinner theater format.
A deli buffet dinner precedes the film lecture, a screening and a stimulating group discussion. First up, "Winchell," directed by Paul Mazursky on April 22. Next is "Good Night and Good Luck," directed by George Clooney, on April 29. "Quiz Show," directed by Robert Redford, follows on May 6 and the series concludes with "Radio Days," directed by Woody Allen, of May 13.
Seats fill up fast, so register soon. The series costs $80 for members, $95 for non-members and $50 for young adults. Attend a single film for $24 if you are a member, $28 for non-members and $15 for young adults.
