Westchester Festival of the Arts

The Scarsdale Chamber of Commerce hosts the return of the 2nd Annual Westchester Festival of the Arts (formerly Scarsdale Fine Arts Festival) on May 14th and 15th, 2011.  Residents and visitors to The Village will have the unique opportunity to enjoy and purchase original, hand-made artwork created by 100 of the top national and international artisans exhibiting over 10,000 pieces of extraordinary original art.  For sale will be artwork created by painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, digital artists, glass, fiber and ceramic artists along with creations in mixed-media, metal, and wood.

For two days stroll the streets and shops of The Village, enjoying the freshness of spring, the elegant Tudor-style architecture, and the unparalleled beauty of exquisite hand-crafted artwork on exhibit.  Unlike most gallery shows, artists are available throughout the event providing the unique opportunity to meet and interact with the creators of each piece. Learn how they came to be artists, how they are inspired, and how your piece was created.  Many of these acclaimed artists are represented in major museums and prestigious private collections throughout the world.

The art festival opens Saturday May 14 with hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday May 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. The show is located on East Parkway and in the Merchants Lot (cross-street is Christie Place).  There is abundant free garage parking surrounding the Festival and is conveniently located near the Scarsdale Metro North Station.
