The Westchester Band reaches the midpoint of their 2011 free summer concert series in Chase Park Thursday July 21st at 8:00pm. "Summer Solstice" is the title conductor Alan Hollander has chosen for this program of light classics, marches, dixie-land, pops, and the "mystery tune". Soloist for this performance is principal french hornist Karen Froelich who will play Mozart's Horn Concerto Nol 1. The concerts are sponsored by the Scarsdale Dept. of Parks and Recreation, Friends of Westchester Band and local merchants. Bring a lawn chair, blanket, even a picnic, and enjoy what promises to be a wonderful night spent with your friends and neighbors in downtown Scarsdale.
