Instant Replay: Last Week in Scarsdale Sports

It was a brisk and exciting week for Scarsdale sports.

Scarsdale's baseball team played three games this week and won two.

In a 9-2 win over Lincoln on Tuesday, the Raiders jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Six different players had RBI for the Raiders and Tyler Foote went the distance to earn the win.

Following a 5-4 loss to Ossining, the Raiders rebounded with a 10-1 win over Mount Vernon. Henry Hirsch, who was also the winning pitcher, had three RBI in the victory and Austin Knief added two.

Scarsdale's softball team had two dominant victories. The Raiders beat Lincoln 15-0. In the victory, Liz Selvaggio had three hits and three RBI, and Rosaria Callara and Chelsea LoBue each added two RBI.

Scarsdale had another decisive win in a 21-2 victory over Mount Vernon on Friday. LoBue had a home run and four RBI and Rebecca Prager added three RBI.

The Raiders' boys lacrosse team had a big victory over Hastings on Wednesday, winning 14-5.  Brian Bauersfeld led the way with three goals and two assists. Matt Jacobs added two goals, and Jeff Hassan had a goal and two assists. Connor Wolfe was solid in net with eight saves.

The girls lacrosse team also had a solid week. First was an 18-6 win over Hastings. In this game, Jennie Pechman had five goals, Ali Och had three, and both Lucy Abrams and Carly Levine had two goals and one assist. Allie Chaves made nine saves in goal.

In the second game of the week, Scarsdale tied Bronxville 9-9. In this contest, Pechman, Kimmy Leone and Liz Felix all had two goals for the Raiders, who erased a 6-5 halftime deficit.
