Scarsdale Police Log: Lamp Posts Damaged By Alleged Vandals In Scarsdale

Someone decided the lamp posts in Scarsdale had to go.
According to a report, there were three alleged acts of vandalism to lamp posts throughout the village last week.
On April 6, police responded to a report of vandalism on Tisdale Road. Police said a front yard lamp post had been vandalized in a resident's yard.

Also on April 6, a Beechwood Lane resident told police her exterior lamp post had also been struck by vandals.
According to a police report, the "exterior lamp post's glass portion was shattered."

The resident observed a "small four-door sedan with approximately five youths occupying it," the report stated. "The vehicle then drove off without the caller being able to get any further description of the vehicle or its occupants."
Police also responded to another Tisdale Street home on April 6 for the third report of vandalized lamp posts.
The Tisdale Street resident told police his front yard lamp post had also been damaged.
He had heard a noise the night before and the next morning, observed that his lamp post had been vandalized, according to police.
Police photographed each lamp post that was damaged and are investigating.
