NYC Swing Dance Pro Spencer Weisbond To Teach New Swing Class at JCC
Swing dancing classes are being offered at the JCC in Scarsdale.

NYC Swing Dance Pro Spencer Weisbond will teach a six-week beginner Swing Dance Class at the Dance School in Scarsdale. The classes will be held on Monday evenings, June 25 through July 30, from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m.
This will be a fun and sophisticated class for adults to learn basic "East Coast" Swing footwork and patterns, and the techniques to execute them properly. Swing to the Jitterbug and Lindy Hop while learning cool moves to classic tunes in this progressive 6-week course. Learn this grassroots street dance style, founded in Harlem in the 1930s. No partner, experience, or talent required.

Weisbond studied swing dance extensively with four-time world champion and eight-time American champion, Nathalie Gomes. He is trained in the Lindy Hop and Jitterbug swing dances. He teaches in NYC at the JCC in Manhattan, the YMCA, and at a local dance studio. He also organizes the NYC Swing Dancing Meet-Up Group.
The JCC Dance School, one of Westchester’s most respected dance programs, provides all levels of training by professional faculty for pre-school, teen and adult dancers. Classes include Ballroom, Argentine tango, ballet, pointe, jazz/hip-hop, tap, Zumba and Israeli folk.
