Protect Our Wetland in Scarsdale

Dear neighbors and friends,
A developer is seeking approval to build a new house at 0 Spier Road in Scarsdale, on a small, environmentally sensitive lot near the Rock Creek Lane / Spier Road area, adjacent to a stream and long-recognized wetland/watercourse area.
The proposed project would involve removal of 13 mature trees, significant excavation and rock chipping, and construction on a steep slope near an active stream.
Many residents are concerned that the development could increase erosion, alter stormwater runoff patterns, and negatively affect the surrounding natural environment and neighboring properties.
Neighbors have raised these concerns during multiple Planning Board hearings, and a petition has now been launched asking the Village Mayor and Board of Trustees to carefully review the project and protect the area’s environmental resources.
