Passengers Evacuated After Fire On Metro-North Harlem Line Train
In all, 125 passengers were evacuated from the train, according to the MTA. No serious injuries have so far been reported.

SCARSDALE, NY — Train service was delayed, in some cases, canceled, on the Metro‑North Harlem Line after a train car fire this morning in Scarsdale.
Fire crews responded to the station Wednesday morning after an undisclosed mechanical issue caused a train car to catch fire, according to the MTA.
Metro-North train 505 from Grand Central Terminal to North White Plains, with passengers on board, had a mechanical issue at approximately 7:22 a.m. that resulted in a smoke condition, while entering the Scarsdale station, an MTA spokesperson told Patch. All passengers disembarked safely and were accommodated on following trains, according to officials.

In all, 125 passengers were evacuated, according to the MTA. No serious injuries have so far been reported.
The train involved in the fire was taken away, but delays on the Harlem Line continued through the morning peak period.
