Police Arrest Brewster Woman, Friend on DWI Charges

Officials say they charged a Brewster woman—and the friend who was picking her up from the police station—with drunken driving this weekend.

Troopers from the stopped Erica S. DeGolyer-Patton, 20, around 1:45 a.m. Sunday on Route 22 in Southeast. She was driving without headlights, according to police.

Officials charged DeGolyer-Patton with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. Her blood-alcohol level was allegedly 0.20 percent. The legal limit is 0.08.

Hours later, police say, a friend, Thomas J. Antous, 21, arrived at the station to pick up the woman. Police found Antous, also listed as a Brewster resident, to be intoxicated. They charged him with the same misdemeanor.

Authorities told Patch that the second defendant's blood-alcohol level was 0.08. Both were released, pending appearances in Southeast Justice Court later this month.
