Reports: Kennedy Wife Arrested for DWI in Westchester

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s wife, Mary Richardson, faces a charge of drunken driving after being nabbed in Bedford.

Mary Richardson Kennedy, wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has been arrested for drunken driving outside a Bedford school, reports say.

The arrest came around 9 p.m. on Saturday at St. Patrick's School, according to The Journal News. 

Bedford police confirmed the news report but declined on Tuesday to make anyone available for comment or release the documents associated with the arrest.

Police saw the 50-year-old mother drive her Volvo over a curb outside a school and that her blood alcohol level registered 0.11, the paper said.

The legal limit in New York is 0.08.

The arrest came two days after police responded to the Kennedy home for a domestic incident, the paper reported.

Kennedy told police she was picking people up at the popular St. Patrick's Carnival, a week-long event staged on the green in front of the school at Route 22 and Greenwich Road.
