Home Robbery Reported on Secor Road; Jewelry Stolen
Thief appears to have entered residence through open bedroom window in last Friday's burglary.
Scarsdale Police received reports of an alleged burglary last Friday after a Secor Road resident returned home from work and found multiple jewelry items missing from several bedrooms.
According to the complainant, a rear second-floor bedroom window had been left open between approximately 8:10 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. The perpetrator appeared to have entered the house in her absence through the same window by removing its screen.
Police found three rooms to be disheveled, including the master bedroom and childrens' rooms. The thief allegedly rummaged through the master bedroom's closets, as well as drawers in the other two rooms, before taking their contents.
