Sunday, June 26

 2:25 p.m.— A 28-year-old Bronx resident was arrested while driving on Fenimore Road and charged on three accounts: driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI with .18 grams or more BAC and third degree aggravated unlicensed operation. He was released on $250 cash bail and scheduled to appear in Village Court on June 29.

8:11 a.m.— A bank teller reported an unidentified male who committed an act of fraudulent accosting on June 22. According to the teller, the man approached his window on June 22 and requested to purchase a money order in the amount of $81. After using a $100 bill to pay for the transaction, the offender claimed he received the incorrect amount of change and asked for his money back. The teller voided the money order and gave the man back his $100 before serving another customer. Shortly after, the man reappeared at the window and claimed he only received a $10. The teller apologized and gave the man a second $100 bill. The offender was described to police as a black, white-bearded male, 5’10, weighing approximately 160 pounds. He was wearing a basketball cap and a plaid shirt.

9:30 a.m.— Police were advised to check on a dispute at a Mamaroneck Road resident after the homeowner and his home health aide got into a disagreement about his girlfriend. Police helped the two resolve their conflict. No further assistance was required.

9:38 a.m.— A caller reported graffiti drawn on Chase Park’s picnic tables with black marker. The caller advised police that she had contacted additional parties, who had scheduled workers to clean the tables.

10:24 a.m.— A 2005 Green Gary Fisher mountain bicycle valued at $600 was stolen from a Chateaux Circle residence’s storage area.

11:02 a.m.— A Mamaroneck Road resident reported that her husband might be a victim of identity fraud. Police spoke to the complainant’s spouse, who reported that he had received notice of three unauthorized purchases on his credit card statements. The man was told that the credit card company was willing to remove unauthorized charges on the account after he signed an affidavit and filed a police report.

11:13 a.m.— A complainant advised patrol that an antique book may have been stolen from his Gorham Road residence, and informed police that he would search his home for the book before reporting criminal mischief.

11:45 a.m.— A man was reported as selling shoes from a white Sedan on Penn Boulevard. Police arrived but did not locate the vehicle.

4:49 p.m.— A Taunton Road resident stated that an unknown vehicle struck his car.

7:20 p.m.— A Potter Road homeowner called police after his home was egged over the weekend. Police did not discover any actual damage to the residence, but they continued to monitor the area.

8:32 p.m.— A lost dog was spotted running down Burgess Road. Patrol believed the animal returned to its Post Road residence.

10:10 p.m.— A Richelieu Road resident reported hearing a sound that resembled a piano in her basement area. Police discovered that the source of the noise was a malfunctioning toy in her basement.

Tuesday, June 28

8:38 a.m.— Two employees got into a dispute at a Popham Road apartment complex after one shoved the other following an argument over vacation hours. The complainant stated that he did not wish to press charges and only wanted to document the incident. The building’s supervisor promised to handle the matter, and police advised the two men to stay away from each other until they both “cooled off.” The men agreed and informed police that there’d be no further altercations.

1:53 p.m.— A Heathcote Road resident contacted police to report that her neighbor’s son is constantly hitting golf balls onto her property. Although the homeowner did not witness the neighbor physically hit the balls onto her property, police spotted two golf balls on the complainant’s lawn. Police spoke to the neighbor, who stated that her son uses their property’s golf range but had not been home since earlier this morning. The neighbor advised patrol of an ongoing dispute with her neighbor, and further stated that her husband had reported to police dispatch to file a report of harassment against the complainant. .

7:05 p.m.— An expired United Kingdom passport was reported lost within Scarsdale Village.

8:16 p.m.— A Brown Road resident contacted police after receiving a harassing phone call the prior evening. According to the caller, an unidentified male had contacted her at 2:33 a.m. stating, “This is rehab, I’m coming over to rape you.” The complainant stated that she worked at a nearby hospital and had just fired an employee. She did not know whether the two incidents were related, and said that she’d complete a supporting deposition and return it to Police Dispatch.

9 p.m.— Loud music was reported emanating from a Hillandale Close residence. Patrol did not find the music’s volume to be excessive.

9:45 p.m.— Loud youths were reported in the vicinity of Roosevelt Place. Police arrived, and the youths left the area without incident.

11:30 p.m.— Unauthorized fireworks were reported in Hyatt Field. Police arrived and found evidence of recently burned fireworks, as well as a pile of smoldering tree branches that someone had attempted to use as kindling. Patrol attempted to put out the fire and contacted the Scarsdale Fire Department to ensure the debris was thoroughly extinguished. Police also found fire pit on top of a large rock near the handicapped ramp on the Potter Road side of the park.

Wednesday, June 29

10:15 a.m.— A caller from Birchall Drive reported that his neighbor was harassing his 70-year-old mother after prior warnings to not enter his property. According to the complainant, the neighbor knocked on his door at 9:15 a.m. and asked to speak with the project manager of their home’s ongoing construction project before starting to scream and yell at his mother. Police attempted to contact the neighbor with negative results.

10:20 a.m.— A real estate agent complained that an unknown person had been contacting her at home for the past two weeks claiming to be from a clearing house and requesting or in some cases demanding that she send money. The complainant stated that she had reported this incident to patrol in the past, and that her harasser had resumed attempts to contact her at her place of business after she changed both her work and home phone number.

12:12 p.m.— A young girl was observed wandering alone in the roadway along Hutchinson Avenue. Police arrived to check on the child’s welfare and spoke to her mother, who stated that her children had been playing in the front yard when their dog ran out of the house and down the driveway. The woman told police that her 3-year-old daughter ran after the dog, but was stopped by the sidewalk and never entered the roadway.

4:27 p.m.— A caller stated that an unknown party had bent their basketball pole after possibly hitting it with a vehicle.  The complainant believed that a Village vehicle might have struck the pole during garbage pick-up because they kept their pails in the same vicinity. Police advised that they would contact the Sanitation Department for further inquiry.

5:14 p.m.— A caller reported a loose dog running up and down Greenacres Avenue. Police canvassed the area with no results.

7:20 p.m.— A caller informed police that he witnessed two youths possibly smoking marijuana by the lake on 1 Taunton and 5 Tisdale roads. Police arrived and did not observe any violations.

11:52 p.m.— A large group of youths were reported making noise in the parking lot at Fox Meadow School on 59 Brewster Road. Police arrived and did not observe any parties on the premises.  

Thursday, June 30

5:21 p.m.— A Giant brand Silver Seven bicycle valued at $300 was stolen from the Starbucks on 51 East Parkway.

6:05 p.m.— A Brewster Road resident reported to police that she had received a threatening card from her ex-boyfriend.

6:45 p.m.— A caller stated that a White Dodge Charger with two passengers had driven into Fenway Golf Club’s parking lot twice that day despite a lack of membership. One of the men, who had been reported as “just sitting in the parking lot,” told police that that he had been dropping off his friend, a caddy. The second man was verified as an employee by the club. All was in good order upon patrol’s departure.

7:48 p.m.— A Stonewall Lane resident reported “unreasonable” music emanating from the Saxon Grill, which is located .5 miles away from his home. Police entered the complainant’s backyard to observe the noise level and did not find it to be disturbing or loud. The complainant was unhappy and requested that police document a decibel-metered reading of the sound. Patrol advised the complainant that they were not trained to undertake such measures, nor did they carry such devices. The owner of the Saxon Grill promised to turn down the music. 

9:30 p.m.— A caller from Franklin Road stated that she heard fireworks exploding near her home

4:35 a.m.— A Bell Road resident called police after he returned home to find his driveway pelted with eggs. The homeowner stated that no damage was inflicted upon his property, and that he did not suspect any parties of mischief. Police promised the resident that they would conduct ride-bys to notify the homeowner of any potentially suspicious behavior.

5:44 a.m.— A caller reported a disoriented, shoeless, 25-year-old male running through the sprinklers in front of an Ogden Road residence. Police arrived and transported the man to his Fox Meadow Road home, where S.V.A.C. arrived and evaluated his physical wellbeing. Police spoke with the homeowner, who stated that his son tended to sleep walk on occasion. Medical treatment was refused, and no further police assistance was needed.

10:27 a.m.— A Swarthmore Road residence reported that a blue bag containing clothing and miscellaneous papers had been thrown onto their front lawn. Patrol examined the bag’s contents and found a receipt with its owner’s name, which allowed them to identify a contact address. Police arrived and spoke with the homeowner’s sister, who was unsure why her sister’s gym bag had been found at an unfamiliar location. Police were referred to the bag’s owner, who discovered that her bag, along with her GPS charger, had been stolen from her 2011 Honda Civic. A police report was filed.

5:23 p.m. – Two bicycles valued at $750 and $200 were stolen from Moscato Ristorante on 874 Scarsdale Ave.
