Scarsdale Police Blotter: Uninvited Solicitors, Weapon Reports, Car Lands in Stream

Tuesday, Jan. 3
9:30 a.m. — A woman called police after accidentally locking her daughter and keys in her car while at Chase Bank on East Parkway. Patrol responded and were able to unlock the vehicle.
12:01 p.m. — A Webster Road resident reported a suspicious white van with Connecticut license plates (not properly affixed). Police did not locate the car.

4:51 p.m. — Westchester County Fire Department requested that police help them gain forcible entry to a Lincoln Road resident due to a gas leak in the area. The home's resident arrived on scene after the Fire Department secured the premises and was advised of the incident. Con Edison informed her how to file a claim to repair any resulting damages. No further assistance was needed.
10:22 p.m. — A Leatherstocking Lane caller reported the front license plate of her car missing from her 2008 BMW.

Wednesday, Jan. 4
1:23 p.m. — A female driver drove her car into the stream at Catherine and Kelwynne roads. No injuries were reported.
4:13 p.m. — A caller reported that he witnessed two teenagers, a male and a female, stop their maroon Jeep on Ferncliff Road before the female proceeded to take pictures of the male passenger posing with an assault rifle. The two drove off once they witnessed the complainant observing their activity. Police advised the caller to report any similar future incidences to dispatch.
5:36 p.m. — A female solicitor from Family Energy entered a Bradley Road home without the owner's permission. The homeowner did not wish to file a police report, but he requested that patrol monitor the area.
