Scarsdale Police Log: Several Cases Of ID Theft In Scarsdale

On April 13, police responded to a report of a stolen gym bag and credit cards. The resident told police he left his bag at the boathouse on Glenn Island and returned to find his bag, iPhone, car keys, house keys, driver's license, Bank of America credit card and $60 in cash were missing, according to the police report.

The unknown suspect used the stolen card at a gas station and a department store before it was cancelled, according to the SPD report.

Also on April 13, SPD responded to another report of identity theft. A Mamaroneck Road resident told police an unknown individual opened a CitiBank credit card in her name, and tried to open a US Bank card in her name. The victim filed fraud reports with the banking companies.

On April 10, police responded to a report that someone used a Scarsdale resident's personal information to . The resident, who was alerted by his accountant, contacted the IRS and filed a police report.
