Scarsdale Police Log: Bike Theft, Unwanted Animals

Monday, March 19

10:10 a.m. Police assisted a driver who parked in the Christie Place garage. The commuter left her work file with possibly confidential paperwork on top of a parking meter. Police checked the garage but did not locate the folder.

6:27 p.m. Police responded to a report of a larceny at Depot Place. A Scarsdale resident reported his bike was stolen from a bike rack in the area of Depot Place.

Tuesday, March 20

9:38 a.m. Police responded to suspicious activity on Bradley Road. A caller reported two suspicious males knocking on a neighbor's door and walking around the back of the home. Police responded and identified the two as construction workers with authorization to work on the property.

10:21 a.m. Police responded to a call reporting a suspicious driver and car parked at 171 Boulevard. The police determined it was a process serving company attempting to serve a civil document.

1:10 p.m. Police responded to an animal complaint on Brewster Road. Police helped a resident remove a bird from the house.

5:23 p.m. Police responded to a report of a man rummaging through a dumpster on Claremont Road.

6:14 p.m. Police responded to a report of a stuck raccoon outside of a door on Rural Drive. Police arrived to inspect the scene, but the animal had freed itself and ran into the woods.

Wednesday, March 21

9:46 a.m. Police responded to a report of a village code violation on Palmer Avenue. Police determined the landscapers on scene were not violating code.
