UJA Westchester Launches “Here to Hear” in Scarsdale

A new, county-wide initiative to help build a stronger and more inclusive Westchester Jewish community

UJA-Federation in Westchester’s new Community Lab team recently embarked upon a listening tour around Westchester, serving up over 250 free frozen yogurts, to launch “Here to Hear,” with the goal of listening to the hopes, dreams, and ideas for a stronger and more inclusive Westchester Jewish community. On Monday, October 22nd, the UJA team brought the famous Hewlee Frozen Yogurt truck to their first four stops: the Shames JCC on the Hudson in Tarrytown, downtown Armonk, JCC of Mid-Westchester in Scarsdale, and the Scarsdale train station, to share frozen treats and speak with people in a variety of settings about building community and the needs and issues currently facing the Westchester Jewish community. For those interested in sharing their thoughts, please contact the team at together@ujafedny.org .
