Vandalism Reported at Girl Scout House
A Scarsdale Adult School employee called police after observing acts of vandalism at the Girl Scout House on 37 Wayside Lane.

Scarsdale Police responded to reports of third degree criminal mischief on June 14 after a caller reported acts of vandalism at the Girl Scout House on 37 Wayside Lane.
According to police reports, patrol arrived at the Girl Scout House and spoke to Jeannine Palmero, 45, who had observed damage on the barbecue pavilion’s fence while conducting an exercise class for the Scarsdale Adult School.
Patrol attempted to contact the Girl Scout House’s groundkeeper, John Price, and were referred to his brother, Clay Price, 50, who stated to police that he had the noted the damaged fence, in addition to empty beer cans and broken glass, a soccer net removed from its goal and placed on top of the barbecue pavilion’s chimney and what appeared to be human feces and toilet paper left at the bottom of the rear entrance stairs.

Patrol later contacted John Price, 49, by phone, who told police all had been in order prior to leaving the Girl Scout House the previous evening at 9:30 p.m. and that he had discovered the damage upon his return at 12:30 a.m.
John Price advised patrol that he would contact B.K. Munguia, the house’s director, in addition to cleaning the area.

John Price informed police that he had seen youths at the Girl Scout House late at night throughout the past week, but noted that they’d never created a disturbance.
Police have questioned all viable leads, including a youth who had been observed on scene four days prior to the incident with alcoholic beverages in his car. No suspects have been identified. Detective Servando Rodriguez recommended the case for closure pending any new information.
