Greenburgh Road Closures Should Be Open By 7 P.M. Friday: UPDATE

Officials have recommended detours.

GREENBURGH, NY — The latest update from the Greenburgh Police Department said the road involved in the water main break should be re-opened by 7 p.m. Friday.


GREENBURGH, NY —Saw Mill River Road was closed Friday from New York State Thruway (southbound entrance ramp) in Ardsley to Jackson Avenue/Ravensdale Road in Hastings. Additionally, Lawrence Street in Ardsley at closed at the Saw Mill River Parkway.

These closures are due to a water main break and partial road collapse on Saw Mill River Road at Lawrence Street. This roadway is the current detour for Ashford Avenue Bridge traffic and generally handles very high vehicular volume. Motorists are advised to avoid the area until further notice.
