Thanks to the holidays several of the local teams were out of action. On Friday Edgemont’s Volleyball game at Yonkers was postponed, with no contest rescheduled at this point.

Scarsdale High School did send several athletes to compete in the Manhattan Invitational in the Bronx yesterday morning. Seniors Kazuya Seki, Eric Dobosh and Ben Newman let the way for the Panther’s boy’s team as they participated in the Boys Varsity E race.

The Girl’s cross country team also participated in the Varsity E race at Van Cortlandt Park and they were led by sophomore Helen Clapp who came in with a time of just about 17 minutes.

The majority of the teams will be off on Monday for Columbus Day but the Scarsdale Boy’s Soccer team will be at North Rockland at 11 am, both the Raiders and Panthers will return to a full slate of games on Tuesday.
