Westchester Runners Came Out For 43rd Annual Scarsdale 15K And Four-Mile Runs
The race is the longest running in Westchester County.
Close to 400 runners and walkers came out to take part in Scarsdale's 43rd Annual on Sunday.
The race is organized by the Scarsdale Parks and Recreation Department and co-sponsored by the Scarsdale Antiques Running Club.
The April Fool's race attracted runners of all ages. Entrants kicked off on Brewster Road and made their way through the Fox Meadow and Greenacres neighborhoods.

"There were 199 runners who finished the 4 Mile Run and 149 finishers in the 15K," Recreation Supervisor Vicky Laoutaris said in a press release. "There were 65 children (12 and under) who participated in a one-mile Kids Fun Run."
The 43rd annual race is the longest running race in Westchester County, according to Laoutaris.
Awards were given to the first three finishers in the following male and female groups: ages 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-plus.

Team awards were also presented for the 15K and the first Scarsdale male and female finisher in the 15K received awards, according to Laoutaris.
Runners munched on bagels and coffee after the race, courtesy of Lange’s Deli.
