Showcase Performance, June 27

Besides being fun, improv classes improve interpersonal skills, build confidence, encourage creative risk taking, and increase ability to surf uncertainty. This six week introductory class for children 13-16 has an emphasis on performance, and will culminate in a show for friends and family.

Instructor: Alex Shapiro

Hailing from Madison Wisconsin, Alex performed with multiple improv companies including, The Premise, Atlas Improv, ComedySportz (Madison and New York) and Desperate Measures, which he co-founded at Wesleyan University in 1994.
A MopCo regular for the past two years, Alex has been involved with improv since taking classes when he was 13. Alex has years of experience teaching improv classes.

Tuition: Eight classes and showcase performance $150. a limited number of partial scholarships are available; inquire by emailing hey@mopco.org with the heading "Youth Scholarship."
