• Champions crowned at the 2026 Judo Senior National Competition (koat.com) — Scotia’s own Jessica Alaynick captured the Senior Women’s 78 kg gold medal at the 2026 Judo Senior National Championship in Albuquerque, putting the village on the national judo map. The tournament drew 315 athletes, including past and hopeful Olympians, for two days of high-level competition and showcased the differences between judo and other martial arts.
