April 18, 2026 (timesreview.com) — Shelter Island Heights Beach Club, the familiar “front porch” seen from the North Ferry, is getting a major upgrade this year with new composite decking and structural repairs to withstand bayfront weather. Locals quickly recognized the club in last week’s photo challenge, sharing memories of summers, swim races, and ferry views as the Heights Property Owners Corporation moves ahead with preserving the landmark’s charm.
