• City Of Norwich Fire Department Responds To Fire At Multi-family Home (evesun.com) — Sherburne Fire Department’s rapid intervention team helped Norwich crews battle a serious multi-family house fire on Griffin Street Sunday night, which caused extensive damage but no major injuries. Firefighters from several Chenango County departments brought the blaze under control within an hour, and investigators say improperly discarded campfire ashes on the back porch accidentally sparked the incident.
